    Responsibilities

    • Sales of new items, category reviews, strategic volume and promotional planning, sales goals, budget adherence, and execution of sales/marketing initiatives
    • Develop of National and Regional Accounts annual/quarterly business plans
    • Identify brand/category development opportunities, communicate and resolve account issues/solutions through sales/marketing management team
    • Develop and maintain by working with internal sales development, annual forecasts/bottom up plans, marketing/promotional initiatives, sales/promotional history and promotional spending which deliver incremental realized sales
    • Create and implement sales and marketing plans that target specific demographic opportunities among consumer segments which leverage National Accounts market penetration
    • Play a supporting role in becoming an expert in the category dynamics for all categories in which we compete
    • Work with internal category management and broker partners to develop account specific category management, brand development, and category review presentations
    • Establish and build relationships with accounts multi level store managers, category managers, and various other personnel that will positively impact CJ Foods business development
    • Demonstrate leadership qualities within our organization and accounts
    • Reviews and analyzes information such as item movement, SKU assortment, and syndicated customer data to make strategic business building recommendations

    Basic Qualifications

     

    • Doctorate degree
    • Master’s degree & 3 years of directly related experience
    • Bachelor’s degree & 5 years of  directly related experience 
    • Associate’s degree & 8 years of  directly related experience
    • High school diploma / GED & 10 years of  directly related experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 7+ years of experience in managing Regional Accounts as well as managing local stores; category management roles in the CPG Food industry
    • Preferred location: Michigan and the Ohio Valley on the West, Balt Wash on the South, up into New England, or New Jersey or New York, Philadelphia is a 3rd option
    • Preferred Sales Channels and Customers; Natural Channel all (to include UNFI HQ), Meijer, Giant Eagle, Safeway East, Stop n Shop, Giant Carlisle and Landover, Weis, Wakefern, Acme, Shaws, Market Basket, Wegmans, Tops, Price Chopper, Metro New York independents
    • Extensive travel required (80%, 4 days out of the work week)
    • Strong leadership, presentation and influencing skills
    • Ability to establish plans and drive execution
    • Highly analytical, communication, organized, detail oriented and creative problem solving skills
    • Strong understanding of syndicated data and interpretation
    • Excellent knowledge of Nielsen, IRI, and category management
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
