  • Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, unless business needs require additional hours worked. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Work location: This position may be home office based or based in the Downers Grove, IL office, depending on business needs.
  • Travel: Position may require up to 40% travel. Travel is frequently outside the local area and overnight.
  • The position will provide technical and science based product support for training of sales personnel and to customers. 
  • Provide key technical poultry support to grow CJ feed additives business.
  • Provide input for protocol development, trial implementation and final data analyses and research reporting to support new product innovation and feed additive marketing efforts.
  • Actively engage, train, and support Poultry sales teams to enhance confidence and knowledge base of sale team and our customers.
  • Educate and train sales and technical teammates on selected nutritional additives, their science, application, and value for customers.
  • Participate in the sales process, with technical presentations and exchanges with key customers as needed.
  • Work as a member of the Technical and Marketing and Sales teams to define and develop technical aspect of customer value offer(s), including products, tools, and services.
  • Develop and deliver clear, value-based, technical information to support the confidence, and successful application of CJ products to customers.
  • Understand customers’ needs and participate in product development processes to ensure world class solutions are brought to market.
  • Help identify customer challenges and opportunities for nutritional additive solutions to add value.
  • Provide insight to support the development of nutritional additive solutions, marketing strategy, and marketing plans.
  • Become a recognized expert in the area of nutritional additives by the professional animal nutrition industry, particularly within poultry sector.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to identify, prioritize, evaluate, and deliver new offerings.
  • Actively manage CJ sponsored research conducted at internal, 3rd party external, or customer facilities.
  • Coordinate with the additive sales specialists, marketing communications managers, and others to produce the marketing support required for effective strategy execution to deliver the appropriate collateral and educational materials to support successful growth of nutritional additives business.
  • Create and submit reports as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.


Basic Qualifications


  • Demonstrated ability to understand and successfully solve business problems in a customer-focused environment
  • Experience in technical support, development, and/or marketing of nutritional additives or similar high value nutrition products
  • Ability to participate in a high performance team-based environment that is fast-learning and adaptive;
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills, including high degree of comfort with direct customer interfaces.
  • Demonstrable experience for understanding and explaining the physiological basis of the application of nutritional additives and related technologies, to both technical and commercial audiences.
  • Organized, self-starter with demonstrable abilities to set and follow priorities, and manage multiple concurrent projects, and increase financial contribution from products.
  • Computer Skills, i.e Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people including commercial leadership, R&D, sales, and functional support roles
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality

  •  Doctorate degree 


  •  Master’s degree & 3 years of directly related experience


  •  Bachelor’s degree & 5 years of directly related experience 


  •  Associate’s degree & 8 years of directly related experience 


  •  High school diploma / GED & 10 years of directly related experience
